Yes, sometimes a heart beats a knife in a fight. That's why we love rooting for underdogs so much. But in the long run, when you really care, you're really going to put yourself through the ringer.

I'm posting this in the middle of all the insane baseball nonsense going on tonight in Game 162. At least I'm not uncontrollably shaking while watching like I used to, vibrating back and forth at an unhealthy frequency, less than ten years ago. But it's still hard to watch while being reduced to a mess every night. I might be stress vomitting before the night is over. All because I love a team. Guess I'll take this heart back out into that knife fight . . .
