Lesson #1355 - Alcohol and Sex

The study goes on to argue that the specific neuropeptide involved suggests that sex is considered rewarding to a fly's brain, and the lack of the reward causes it to take part in another behavior that is also considered rewarding, which in this case is eating ethanol-spiked food. In particular, the scientists find the study interesting because it may help us better understand the mechanisms of drug abuse.

But let's be serious, the real upshot here is that you shouldn't kill a fly in a bar, but instead commiserate and possibly buy it a shot. Even if you don't think a beautiful set of compound eyes makes for a real looker.
