Lesson #1437 - Life, Calculated
I'll leave it to you to determine what the variables stand for. I do think it works alright as an equation, although I probably accidentally dropped a term or two during the derivation.
Anyway, in today's contribution to my personal calculation, today is my final day working at my government lab. Because I'm very happy to say that I'll be starting in as a teaching professor up in Massachusetts starting in the fall. Time to put all my chalkboard handwriting practice to use!
In all seriousness, STW served as a stand-in for me to continue educating, as it is and if you'd go so far as to use that particular word, while I was working on a way to get back to being in front of a classroom consistently. Thank you all for your small contributions in helping me develop as a teacher just by sharing in the lessons you've seen here. I fully intend to keep STW going as best I can, but just so you have a heads-up, between baby-raising and moving and blackboard-resituating, there may be unexpected unevenness in the updates to come.
And hey, who knows, maybe you'll have me for an actual professor in a few months? Would we all be so lucky.
