Surviving the World

Lesson #1620 - Hindsight Reporting
Right now, in what is really a minor issue compared to the world's problems, sportswriters are describing just how oh-so-hard it is for them to vote on the baseball Hall of Fame when the ballot this year contains a number of players who used steroids and other PEDs. It's kind of amazing how holier-than-thou so many of the writers are getting, particularly when this wouldn't even be an issue for them if they had, you know, actually reported on what had been going on for so many years. 'It was prevalant throughout the game! It was part of the culture! It was scandalous! . . . And I never saw any of it happening or even raised a voice to stop it!"
Oh, and then there are all the reporters who cover the important issues of the day. Because they're doing just so much better.
