While I think I've advocated before that the audience should be allowed to throw things at the speaker who does this, I'd never seen the audience basically berate the speaker until he gave in and did this. AT LEAST NOT UNTIL TEXAS. What the heck is wrong with you, Aggies? Why must you force a poor guy, who is just trying to have a happy little panel, to say 'Howdy' with a completely lack of enthusiasm?
