Lesson #180 - Prescription Drugs
First, it would be fantastic to go into a doctor's office with a long checklist, and just start asking if each drug is right for you. Maybe doctors would realize prescription drugs have gotten out of hand.
Secondly, if you're a heroin addict, it's great if you live in Switzerland, where voters have approved prescription heroin. The idea is that providing heroin for injection under medical supervision should reduce crime, sharing of needles, and the number of people living in the street. It's apparently supposed to be a measure of last resort, which is all well and good . . . what's really strange and hard to get your head around is that the voters also rejected medicinal marijuana on the same ballot. The whole thing is really kind of weird.
The overall point is that prescription drugs are a little confusing and kind of out of hand.
Now where's our ritalin?
