Lesson #1852 - Thinking
One of my grad advisors used to pull off a thinking pose that scared the hell out of me at the time - a blank, open stare into nothing with his mouth open and tongue slightly out - and he would do this during every meeting when I had something new to report. It was impossible to tell if he had just had a stroke or not. I know he was doing it unconsciously, but now I realize how utterly brilliant a pose it was. Time to start practicing on it myself!
