Lesson #2423 - Maple Syrup
This feels like a bad Ask Shagg comic today. Oh well.
Actually, the people who use traditional means to get maple syrup sap may be saps anyway - there was an article I read within the last few years about developing automated vacuum lines to pull sap from trees to maximize output, thus allowing for a denser tree growth and more sap collection. It's not tradition, but if it tastes the same, who cares if we automate the maple syrup process? I mean, even if develop maple syrup collecting robots, they can't possibly benefit from the sap collection, so we don't have to worry about them using maple syrup as a means to subjugation of the human race, right? Unless they withhold it from us and get us to acquiesce to their whims . . . well, this turned dark.
