Surviving the World

A Photocomic Education by Dante Shepherd

Lesson #2868 - Explosive Rats

We've used animals in some pretty terrible ways - one of the more fascinating stories is about the plan to strap tiny bombs onto bats and release them over Japan during World War II, let them fly down into dark spaces around homes and buildings, and then set them off. It never was put into action because of the timing of the finalization of the atomic bomb, but still, it's a fascinating mix of strategy and animal cruelty. Anyway, enjoy any fireworks shows you see today!
