Lesson #2993 - Election Day 2016
You may disagree with me. I understand. I'm reluctant to tell you who specifically you should vote for. But please, be reasonable. If you are holding out for a perfect candidate that you agree with 100%, you're probably waiting for a perfect clone of yourself, and that's not real. There are actual people's lives at stake in this election, and you should not be pushing for a perfect candidate. You should be pushing for the best person to hold the office. There's a major difference. Because after the campaigning is over, real work gets done. And there are people who actually know how to do the work, and there are the people who don't.
I think Clinton will do as good a job as you can hope for. She knows what the hell she's doing. She's gone through more bullshit than you or I can imagine, and yet she still keeps pushing for others. That cannot be said about the other candidates. And I cannot bring myself to vote for candidates who promote racism, bigotry and hate. And there are candidates like that up and down the ballot who will enact policies supporting racism, bigotry, and hate.
So please. I've made my case. Maybe not well, but I made it. Go and vote.
And here's hoping this long international nightmare is over with by tomorrow.
