Lesson #601 - Synesthesia

While back, I wanted to write a play about someone with synesthesia who had decided his crosswiring allowed him to go out and try to become a superhero. I'd come across a book where the main character develops synesthesia, almost immediately after reading a newspaper column where the writer described his experiences with synesthesia, and the whole concept seemed perfect for some kind of realistic story. And then Mark Millar announced "Kick-Ass" and I figured it would look like I was jumping on a trend, so I dropped the idea.

Still, synesthesia is kind of amazing - and because it's rare, a lot of people who have it don't even know it has a name until someone tells them about it. Who wouldn't want to taste sounds?
