Haven't you ever wondered what the best Rube Goldberg set-up would be to protect your home? And then taken that line of thought and made it into something more realistic? I mean, you can keep a bat by your bed at night, but you still need to wind up before you can swing, and that might take precious seconds you don't have. BUT you can throw the yarn in one easy movement to get you the seconds you need to swing. Right? Right?

Or perhaps you could just buy an alarm and then use your brain energy on greater things.
