The little things like this do wonders for morale, but of course they only work when the high fives are exchanged between people of the same level of power. Try to spontaneously high five someone above you and you'll deserve the crap thrown your way. Try to spontaneously high five someone below you and you come across as a douche. Try to spontaneously fist bump someone, and people caught unaware will call security because you tried to punch them.
