Surviving the World

A Photocomic Education by Dante Shepherd

Lesson #682 - Blockbuster Movies

Hollywood lives by that old adage: if it made money the first time, beat it into the ground.

So yesterday I completed my committments to the NSF and Dept. of Energy, meaning I can tell you about the SUPER TOP SECRET BLACK OPS plans I've been hinting at for a while.

At the end of this week, I'll be leaving Wincheck City and FPI. There are a number of reasons behind this decision, but it's pretty clear it is time to do so. Next week I'll be starting a position in Sharpe Valley, MD, with the Institute for Scientific Progress and Research, where I'll get to do some incredibly interesting engineering work. My redder-than-normal eyes over the last three months have been me trying to finish everything up in time for the move.

Your obvious question is "what does this mean for STW?" Frankly, not a lot. I've got a decent backlog of comics already produced so I should be able to go for about a month. On the other hand, the background will be shifting soon, as I won't have my usual blackboards or classrooms to work from. Which means the quality might drop a little bit until I'm able to figure out proper lighting. Oh, and I'll have to find a new blackboard.

So expect a few changes to STW - and possibly erratic updates, meaning it might be best to use a service that informs you when I've updated the site like Twitter or RSS - but hopefully the transition will be smooth. And since I'll have a bit more time on my hands, the quality of the lessons might actually improve! So just wait and see.
