Surviving the World
A Photocomic Education by Dante Shepherd
Lesson #726 - Blogging

This lesson might refer to sports blogging in particular, and the standard newspaper/magazine columnist dismissal of the bloggers' findings and conclusions and criticisms as coming from 'their mother's basement.' A lot of writers have slowly begun to see the light on some of the more skilled sports blogs - especially as blogs have been able to push sabermetrics or more in-depth statistical analysis into mainstream usage than the reporters themselves have - but you still hear the term every now and then. Yeah, maybe the blogger relies entirely on snark, but at least he/she hasn't mailed in every column for the last ten-plus years.
