There's a very fine line between 'awesome' and 'smug' these days, and it basically depends on which side of the argument you fall on. So, to solve that problem, haters can use 'awesmug' instead! As in, "He's clever but he's a dick. He's incredibly awesmug."

I do so hope this catches on.
