I'm old enought to realize the demands my sisters and I made on our parents in terms of what we wanted to be for Halloween. An octopus? A lobster? The amount of paper mache that went into a number of other costumes? Yikes. Apparently the creativity of children has an innate cruelty that primarily expresses itself at Halloween.
