Lesson #999 - Creeping People Out, Part XI
If I did this now, I would have to change the name of my childhood imaginary friend. I sincerely doubt there are many women/men out there who would be interested in hooking up with someone named "Sherby Derby".
By the way, is there a reason we don't have a national award for people who fight complacency like this? After all, that's what creeping people out is all about: fighting complacency, not letting anyone get too settled in to the status quo, thereby making them more ready to accept whatever strange or different thing that is to come next without immediately reacting negatively. That's why creeping people out is such an important part of life, one to take seriously, and I would hope that with almost 1100 STWs, that lesson would have worked its way in by now.
Anyway, perhaps I should start up the Complacency Fighter award. Hmmm. Oh, the possibilities.
