Lesson #1470 - Olympic History, Part I
Out of curiosity, I started reading about some of the early Olympic games, and man, is there some bizarre history in them. So you're going to be getting some Olympic history comics off-and-on over the next week.
The 1900 Olympic games were fascinating, not just for the events that they had (and are now very conveniently no longer "official", even though, come on, we all know they really were), but because of how they almost killed off the tradition of having the Olympics in the very second Olympics ever. (A feat which was almost duplicated by the 1904 Olympics!) Anyway, I am very sad that I was literally born in the wrong century if I wanted to be an Olympic croquet champion. All my training for years, and what good is it without a time machine! Alas.
