Imagine the alien species out there waiting for us to develop space travel so we can land on their planet and help them enjoy the fine things in life. Right now, there is an entire planet of a duck-like species - a Planet of the Ducks, if you will - where the leader ducks are just waiting for humans to come along so they can invent the doorknob and have someone who can use it.
