Batman - both parents dead. Superman - parents and entire planet dead. Barry Allen - mother dead. Hal Jordan - father and then mother dead. Cyclops - both parents thought dead, then father revealed alive, then father died (again). Wolverine - unknown, then revealed both parents dead. The Wasp - father dead. Martian Manhunter - whole planet dead. Spider-man - both parents and uncle dead. Iron Man - both parents dead. Captain America - both parents dead.

So, yeah. Replace death with divorce, and life could kind of reflect art, no?
